The Rose Mist Cube is a gorgeous knock-out bead in two colors, and makes a fantastic Murano glass pendant. This large bead is approximately an 18mm x 16mm cube bead. It takes 5-steps to make this Murano gold glass bead. First a small amount of crystal molten glass is wrapped around a copper mandrel, and rolled in a single layer of pure 24k gold foil. Then one half of the bead is wrapped with pale aqua molten glass. Then the other half is wrapped with transparent rose colored glass as the mandrel is delicately turned. Finally, the bead is shaped by hand into a cube using a cast iron flat stamping tool. Most Murano beads have an internal layer of silver or gold foil, to add luminosity to transparent glass. We design this bead exclusively, and have created some of the finest crafts glass beads in the world.
